Fact Check: Did FBI, Mossad & Other Foreign Intel Agencies Meet In New Delhi?
New Delhi: An image claiming to show a few top intelligence agencies officials sitting together in India’s capital city to discuss the situation in Afghanistan has gone viral on social media.
The photo claims that the officers were from top security agencies such as United States (FBI), United Kingdom (MI6), Isreal’s Mossad, and Russia’s KGB along with India’s RAW.
However, the claim is quite misleading. The photograph is of security officials but only of India and Russia.
A delegation of Russian security officials sat with India’s counterparts headed by National Security Adviser (NSA) Ajit Doval on September 8 to discuss the Taliban situation.
Also, the KGB mentioned in the photograph is a defunct security organisation that used to operate during the Cold War.
