Mumbai: A video and a message claiming that the Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan had donated Rs 50 crore to Pakistan to fight COVID-19, has gone viral on social media.

The message also said that a Pakistan-based media outlet has confirmed the same.

However, it was found to be a 6.5 minutes clip of an old video made by India TV in July 2017. King Khan was then accused of donating a similar amount to help the victims of an accident on Lahore-Karachi highway. This news was established as fake by India TV.

Hence, there is no truth in the news of Shah Rukh helping Pakistan during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
