Mumbai: During a promotional interview for ‘Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives’, actress Neelam Kothari cleared the air over her sexuality.
Sometime back, rumours were doing the rounds that Neelam is gay. In a recent interview with Mashable India, Neelam set the record straight.
Talking about the most bizarre rumour that she had heard about herself, Neelam said: “I was actually gay (laughs)… When I heard this, I was like, ‘Okay, I guess this is how rumours start, out of nowhere.’ This came back to me. It wasn’t written about but it was via someone that I got to hear about it.”
Neelam, who was a popular actress of the 1980s and ’90s, is planning a comeback in Bollywood and has had a discussion with friend Ekta Kapoor about it.
Karan Johar’s web series ‘Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives’ revolves around the glamorous lives of celebrity wives.
The series stars Neelam (wife of Sameer Soni), Bhavana Pandey (wife of Chunky Panday), Maheep Kapoor (wife of Sanjay Kapoor) and Seema Khan (wife of Sohail Khan) in key roles.
Earlier this week, Neelam, Bhavana, Maheep and Seema shared a video to thank the audience for liking the show.
“Thank you for watching us, thank you for loving us, thank you for laughing with us and thank you for not ignoring us. We love you! Keep watching again and again and again. Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, only on Netflix,” they said in the video clip.
