Mumbai: Having missed their beloved Shah Rukh Khan in a major role for over four years, his fans are in for a treat in 2023.
Post the record-breaking success of ‘Pathaan’, King Khan is gearing up for a June release of Atlee’s ‘Jawan’. And after that, he will be seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Dunki’ which is likely to hit the screens in December.
According to reports, Shah Rukh will be playing an Army officer in ‘Dunki’.
Still going strong at 57, the Bollywood Badshah will be donning the Army uniform after over a decade. It was in Yash Chopra’s 2012 movie ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ that he was seen as an Army officer, opposite Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.
“SRK is very excited to wear the uniform again. In fact, if you see the announcement video, there are hints there, from his fatigue pants to his green T-shirt. It is a look that army guys wear when they are travelling or resting,” The Times Of India quoted a source as saying.
Shah Rukh earlier featured as an Armyman in ‘Main Hoon Na’ and the TV show ‘Fauji’ in his early acting days.
‘Dunki’, Shah Rukh’s maiden collaboration with Hirani, also features Taapsee Pannu and Boman Irani in key roles.
