Mumbai: Actor-politician Govinda faced questions on the accidental shooting after being discharged from hospital on Friday.

Govinda told paparazzi that when a person becomes famous, along with fans, he has haters too and one has to be careful of the latter.

“Fame is a flame and you have to be aware of the flame which is around, all over the world. It is like fire when you get successful and you have to tread carefully. When you have so many people who love you there are also some who are jealous of you which is also not an issue, it comes across in the form of spardha (competition),” said the actor.

Govinda said that he keeps a revolver for his safety and on the fateful day (Tuesday early morning), when he was about to leave for Kolkata, the loaded revolver dropped from his hand and misfired.

“I was getting ready to leave for the show… for Kolkata. It was in the morning, around 4.45-5 am. Woh giri aur chal padi (the revolver fell and misfired). I felt a jhatka (I was shocked) and when I saw… there was a fountain (of blood),” said the actor.

“Initially, I couldn’t believe it had happened. Thoda gehra lag gaya tha, jab laga tab vishwas nahi hua. Aisa laga ke yeh kya hua (It went quite deep.. I wondered what happened)?”

Govinda further stated that after the accidental bullet injury, he recorded some videos so that no one else lands in trouble.

“I thought I should not associate this incident with anyone else and trouble them, so I shot some videos and was then rushed to Dr Agarwal. He then came with us and took me to Criti Care hospital,” said the actor.
