Mumbai: Actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar and his father Javed Akhtar appeared as guests on Amitabh Bachchan’s popular game show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati.’
In the special episode of KBC, Big B revealed that he was treated like a ‘Nausikhya’ (a fresher or beginner) on the sets of Farhan’s ‘Lakshya’.
Recalling the incident, Big B shared that when he was shooting for ‘Lakshya’, he struggled to get his dialogues right on the set and was asked to give multiple retakes. He conceded that it was quite embarrassing for a veteran actor like him.
Sharing his perspective about the incident on Rajat Bedi’s ‘Aap Ki Adalaat’, Farhan said he never tried to teach Amitabh how to act and also apologised to the senior actor if he had hurt him unintentionally.
“So it was his (Amitabh’s) first day on set and he was taking time to get it done in terms of performance,” he said.
“It is very much possible that this enthusiasm of mine might have not gone down well with him, that a young director is telling him if there is any problem, let’s talk about it. It could have possibly hurt him. So, I understood later that this might have felt bad and I did apologise to him for that,” Farhan said.
“My intention wasn’t that, it was simply that whatever we were doing if we could just speed it up,” Farhan concluded.
On the work front, Farhan’s next film ‘120 Bahadur’ will be released in theatres on November 21.
The trailer of the film begins with Amitabh narrating the story.
Besides Farhan, the film stars Raashii Khanna, Sparsh Walia, Ashutosh Shukla, Vivan Bhathena and Dhanveer Singh in key roles.
