Gaurav Khurana, who runs a pizza delivery service in Jind, told India Today TV that the decision to suspend the Internet services has resulted in another blow to his business after the pandemic-induced lockdown. His delivery boys have been sitting idle, he was quoted as saying.

Online classes hit

Apart from school and college students, the suspension of Internet services has also hit those preparing for competitive exams.

Manish (22), who lives in Jind, told India Today TV that he has prepared for Haryana Staff Selection (HSSC) exam and has purchased an online preparatory course for Rs 6,000.

“The connectivity in villages is already poor. I am not able to study as there is no internet. If continued further, it [internet ban] can ruin our career,” Manish was quoted as saying.
