Professional tennis is expected to resume in a month or two, but there is bad news for Roger Federer fans. He won’t be seen in action for during the remainder of the season as he has not recovered sufficiently from surgery on his right knee.
The 20-time Grand Slam winner, in a Twitter statement, stressed on the need to recover completely before playing at the competitive level. The Swiss ace wrote that the setback in his rehabilitation happened a few weeks ago and that he will look forward to seeing everyone back on Tour at the start of the 2021 season.

The tennis legend had initially expected to be out for at least four months. But with the tour being suspended due to the global coronavirus pandemic, he has not missed any major tournaments.
The Wimbledon championship was cancelled, while French Open and the US Open organisers have not yet taken a decision on this year’s editions.
