Bhubaneswar: Sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik, who is recuperating at a private hospital here, on Friday tweeted, “Good morning, now I am feeling better. Thanks to all my well wishers for their continuous support & concerns.”
Health Minister Pratap Jena also visited the hospital and enquired about his health.
On Thursday, Pattnaik was rushed to the hospital by his supporters after he fell ill during hunger strike, demanding cleaning of Bankimuhan beach in Puri.
The sand sculptor started the sit-in on Tuesday after his request to the state government, seeking measures to save the beach from pollution, was ignored.
According to reports, Puri Municipal Corporation has started a massive beach cleaning process.
