Berhampur: A female postal employee was found hanging in her room on Thursday morning in Buguda area of Odisha’s Ganjam district.
The deceased was identified as Rashmita Behera, a native of Sorona village in Tangi tahasil in Khurda district. Behera was employed at Buguda post office and was staying at Arabinda Nagar in a rented accommodation.
The matter was reported to police by the house owner when Behera did not open the door when he knocked on it. When the police team broke open the door, they found her hanging from a ceiling fan inside her room.
Under what circumstances, the female postal employee took the extreme step is being ascertained.
Buguda police have registered a case unnatural death and investigating further.
