Mumbai: Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar became the target of trolls recently, after an old video, in which he called kitchen as ‘ghusalkhana’, resurfaced on social media.
During his guest appearance on Farah Khan’s vlog in January, Karan, while showing his kitchen to the host, confused the Hindi words “rasoi” (kitchen) and “ghusalkhana” (bathroom).
He was then quickly corrected by Farah, who explained to him that ‘ghusalkhana’ means bathroom.
While the video vlog was updated in January, it grabbed the attention of netizens only recently and they wasted no time in criticising Karan for his poor knowledge of Hindi language.
The video clip was shared on Reddit, along with the title, “Is Karan doing it intentionally or he really doesn’t know??.”
A user commented, “He’s acting.”
Another posted, “Did he just call the kitchen, ghusulkhanna.”
One user wrote, “Probably he does things supposed to be done there at kitchen and vice versa. How does farah know what happens at his house?”
Another posted, “funny to equate kitchen with bathroom if it is a joke.”
“This man had defame kangana ranaut for her English accent and Karan Johar even don’t know what say to kitchen in Hindi,” shared another user.
Another commented, “Showing that they don’t know Hindi is a style statement for them. Such a shame he is.”
“Intentionally bhi funny nahi lagta (it is not at all funny) ozempic has taken Toll him,” wrote one.
