FIR Filed Against Kangana Ranaut For ‘Hate’ Video
Mumbai: After Kangana Ranaut’s recent Twitter banter, a lawyer in Mumbai has filed an FIR against the actress for promoting enmity and hurting religious sentiments.
According to reports, lawyer Ali Kashif Khan Deshmukh on Wednesday filed a complaint against Kangana at Amboli Police Station for an online video supporting her sister Rangoli Chandel over her controversial comments.
After Twitter suspended the account of Rangoli Chandel for alleged hate speech, Kangana had posted the video. Kangana said, “Atankwadi ko atankwadi nahi keh sakte (can’t call a terrorist a terrorist?)?”
The lawyer wants the actress to be booked under IPC sections 153A (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race ) and 295A (deliberate and malicious act intended to outrage religious feeling), among others.
Speaking about his FIR, the lawyer told PTI, “I have filed a complaint against Kangana Ranaut as well for (remarks) in the video she has posted in support of her sister Rangoli Chandel.”
The ‘Queen’ actress also stated that if her sister has posted anything offensive about any community, then both the sisters will apologize publicly.
