Paradip: The Paradip Port Trust (PPT) on Monday signed an MoU with the National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT), Chennai, for setting up the first desalination drinking water project in Odisha.
Talking to mediapersons later, PPT chief engineer K Ramachandra Rao said that PPT will float a tender for bidding for the proposed project by December this year.
The project, estimated at Rs 116 crore, will be completed by 2021, he added.
