Hyderabad: Former Australian opener David Warner’s love for Indian films, especially Telugu cinema, is well known.
The explosive batter, who was a popular cricketer during his IPL stint with Sunrisers Hyderabad, often expressed his love for films through popular reels on social media, all of which went viral. One of the reels about Srivalli from ‘Pushpa’ was all over Internet during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020.
It was no wonder that Warner was offered a role in director Venky Kudumula’s Telugu film ‘Robinhood’.
Warner will play an ‘exciting cameo’ in the movie, producers Mythri Movie Makers wrote on X, introducing Warner’s look. It was also revea;led that ‘Robinhood’ will be released on March 28.

Warner shared the announcement on social media, along with his first look from the film, which features Nithiin and Sreeleela in lead roles.
“Indian Cinema, here I come.. Excited to be a part of #Robinhood. Thoroughly enjoyed shooting for this one,” wrote Warner.
