Bhubaneswar: At a time when cases are rising in Delhi and several other states, Odisha reported only one COVID-19 case on Friday.
This is the first time in over two years when Odisha has reported only a single COVID-19 case. The first case was detected in the state on March 16, 2020.
According to the I & PR Department, the lone case on Friday was reported from Sambalpur. A total of 19,500 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, of which only one tested positive. The lone COVID case was from quarantine.
No cases were reported in the 0-18 age group.
The state reported 85 active cases on Friday.
