The departments of Oncology, Cardiology and Pediatrics were placed second and the department of Nephrology was placed third in the state.

The annual survey was conducted for ranking the nine disciplines at the national, regional and local levels. The hospital’s departments of Neuro Sciences and Gastroenterology were ranked No. 1 in the state in the survey conducted last year.

Six of the hospital’s departments figured in the top rankings in the eastern region this time while three occupied positions in the top 20 at the national level.

As per the survey, the departments of Pediatrics, Neuro Sciences and Urology were ranked 14th, 17th and 19th respectively at the national level. The department of Urology was ranked second in the eastern region followed by Pediatrics (third) while Oncology, Neuro Sciences, Gastroenterology and Emergency and Trauma Care were placed fourth.

The objective of the survey was to arrive at a list of top private/corporate hospitals for various specialities for the current year. The research had three major modules—desk research, factual survey and perceptual rating survey backed by scientifically developed analysis and ranking process.
