Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police arrested five drug peddlers during a special drive launched against illegal trade of narcotics here on Thursday.
The arrested have been identified as Parashant Kumar Rout, Samrit Pradhan, Santosh Kumar Patra, Chandrabhanu Rout, and Surya Kanta Parida.
Police seized 22.10 gm of brown sugar, 1.4 kg of ganja, Rs 7,850 in cash, one Mi Note-6 cellphone and one motor vehicle from their possession.
Three cases have been registered against them.
