Bonai: A girl was allegedly gang-raped at K. Balang village in Sundargarh district on Thursday.
According to available information, the girl had gone to attend nature’s call near her house when a group of five youths forcibly took her to a nearby Kalkota forest, raped her and fled.
The victim narrated the ordeal to her family members, who lodged a complaint at the local police station.
Later, the accused persons, identified as Shankar Singh, Rabindra Singh, Sahadeb Singh, Dhanasham Singh and Umesh Singh, were arrested.
All of them hail from K. Balang village.
