Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 death toll in Odisha rose to 114 on Thursday with six more succumbing to the virus in the last 24 hours.
Five deaths were reported from Ganjam district and one from Khurda district.
The details of the deceased are:
- A 41-year old male of Ganjam district. He was also suffering from hypertension
- An 86-year old female of Khurda district. She was also suffering from diabetes and hypertension.
- A 63-year old male of Ganjam district. He was also suffering from hypertension.
- A 51-year old female of Ganjam district. She was also suffering from diabetes and diabetic ketoacidosis.
- A 69-year old male of Ganjam district.
- A 57-year old male of Ganjam district. He was also suffering from diabetes and hypertension.
They succumbed while undergoing treatment, Health Department sources said.
With the six new deaths, the virus has so far claimed 67 lives in Ganjam, 15 in Khurda, nine in Cuttack, six in Gajapati, two in Puri, two each in Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Rayagada, Angul and Sundargarh, and one each in Bargarh, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kandhamal and Nayagarh districts.
