Balasore: Tension flared up in Balasore’s Baincha village on Tuesday after some youths attacked the villagers over non-payment of loan by a local resident.
According to sources, a native of Baincha took a certain amount of loan from the youths of Deudibhanga and Manikamba villages. He has been absconding since then.
A group of villagers of Deudibhanga and Manikamba entered Baincha and frantically looked for him. Irked over their failure to locate the borrower, they attacked five persons of Baincha village with sharp weapons.
The injured were rushed to Balasore district headquarters hospital. The condition of two among them is stated to be critical.
