Rajkot: At least five patients were killed after a fire broke out in a designated COVID-19 hospital in Gujarat’s Rajkot in the wee hours of Friday.
According to reports, the fire broke out in the ICU of Uday Shivanand Hospital around 1 am. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
As many as 30 other patients being treated at the hospital were evacuated.
Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has ordered a probe into the incident, news agency ANI reported.
