Bhubaneswar: After nearly two months, regular flight operations resumed at the Biju Patnaik International Airport in the Odisha capital on Monday with the arrival of a Vistara flight from New Delhi.
Talking to mediapersons, airport director VV Rao said while one flight departed Bhubaneswar for New Delhi at 9.40 am, another one arrived at the Bhubaneswar airport from Delhi. Four more flights will land at the airport from New Delhi and Bengaluru later on Monday.
Flights from Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai and Jharsuguda to Bhubaneswar have been cancelled, , he said due to the devastation rendered by the cyclone. Bhubaneswar-Kolkata-Bhubaneswar flights have been delayed due to the devastation caused in West Bengal and Odisha by Cyclone Amphan, and are expected to resume after May 28.
