Kalahandi/Nabarangpur/Malkangiri: Incessant rain has triggered flood-like situation in Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri districts.
According to reports, communication between Nabarangpur-Raipur and Nabarangpur-Bhawanipatna was reportedly cut-off due to increase in the water level of Chikili river in Nabarangpur.
In Kalahandi, four villages were submerged following a 10-feet breach in the Indravati canal near Ghenuguda village under Jaipatna block. Road communication between Mukhiguda and Jayapatana areas in the district too was affected, causing inconvenience to commuters.
Similarly, road connectivity between Malkangiri and Balimela was disrupted with four feet high water flowing over a bridge at Tariakota in MV-37 in Malkangiri district, reports added.
