Bhubaneswar: The college students were called upon to follow the ideals of Swami Vivekananda and Subhas Chandra Bose to create a global impact.
Speaking at a function, organised on the occasion of Kartavya Bodh Diwas, at Maharishi College of Natural Law in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday, the guests highlighted the philosophy and principles of the two legendary personalities of India.
Dr LN Parida, Principal, MCNL highlighted the importance Kartavya Bodh Diwas, while Dr PK Rath, resource person, described the role of students and their duties towards nation-building.
Dr Anil Kumar Mishra, chief speaker at the function, narrated the impact made by Swami Vivekananda on the international community through his spiritual thoughts and Subhas Bose by his nationalistic actions. The global perspective of the two great leaders needs to be emulated by the students to not only make the country proud but also made the world a better place to live in, he added.
The students of the college also shared their thoughts on the life and contributions of the two great sons of India.
Dr Pabitra Kumar Rath, Principal, Acharya Harihara Higher Secondary School, Bhubaneswar also spoke at the programme. Seminar coordinator KR Pradhan delivered the guest introduction and PK Swain, Head of Commerce department of the college offered the vote of thanks.
Faculties RK Mishra, S Swain, L panda, B Singha, J Dash, S Mohanty, GR Nayak, L Tudu, L Dhal, R Mangaraj and M Mishra and more than 150 students participated in the programme.
