For Odia Girls Stranded In Kerala, Sonu Sood Turns Saviour

Bhubaneswar: Bollywood actor Sonu Sood, who has emerged as a real life hero for the migrants stranded in different parts of the country, has come to the rescue of Odia girls unable to return home due to lockdown.

Around 170 Odia girls working in Ernakulam district of Kerala have been trying to return to their homes in Odisha for last several weeks, but are unable to come due to lockdown and lack of any help from any quarters. After their plight was tweeted by Dhanya Rajendran stating the girls’ desire to quit their jobs and leave Ernakulam, a senior IPS officer of Odisha discussed the matter with him.

Later, the officer took up the matter with Sonu Sood and both weighed different options of shifting the girls. Though they decided to bring them in bus or train initially, Sonu offered to arrange a special plane to fly them to Odisha.
