Forces Recover Huge Cache Of Arms & Ammunition From Maoist Hideout In Odisha

Nuapada: Security forces sized a huge cache of arms and ammunition allegedly dumped by Maoists during a combing operation near a village on Odisha-Chhattisgarh border under Sinapali police limits in Odisha’s Nuapada district.

According to sources, 28 detonators, explosives, AK 47 empty case, radio, battery, Maoist uniform and several other items were seized during the joint raid by SOG, DVF, CRPF and COBRA personnel around 4 pm on Friday.

Nuapada SP GR Raghavendra told that the joint operation was carried out after police received specific intelligence on the whereabouts of the Maoists on August 17.  “The Maoist camp was busted near Jholapada village. The security personnel also recovered 28 detonators, explosives and Maoist literature among other things. Further combing operation is underway,” he added.
