Four Ambulance Drivers Among 6 Arrested For Diverting Patients To Private Hosps From SCB
Cuttack: Six touts, including four ambulance drivers, have been arrested for allegedly diverting patients to private hospitals from SCB Medical College and Hospital in Odisha’s Cuttack city.
Cuttack DCP Prateek Singh informed that several other medical staff and doctors are suspected to be involved in the racket.
Stern action will be taken against them, he added.
There have been allegations of middlemen sending patients visiting government hospitals like SCB and Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar to private hospitals for commission. Since then, police have been conducting crackdowns to arrest those involved in such illegal activities.
