Rourkela: Plant Site Police on Tuesday detained four persons in connection with the alleged murder of a hotel owner on the night of February 9.

The four detainees are being interrogated at the police station, sources said.

Notably, two bike-borne miscreants had intercepted Sajjan Mittal near his house at the DAV School Lane on the fateful night soo

n after he returned from his hotel at Gandhi Road.

They later took him inside the house and hit him on the head with an iron rod before fleeing the spot.

A profusely bleeding Mittal was admitted to Ispat General Hospital (IGH) where he succumbed to his injuries around 3 am while undergoing treatment.

Preliminary investigation had attributed the murder to a property dispute.

In October last year, Sajjan had lodged a complaint against two persons – Prem Modi and Dillip Sharma – in this connection.
