Bhubaneswar: Intensifying its probe into the much-hyped Kuakhai murder case of Unmay Padhi, the Commissionerate Police detained four persons including a girl for interrogation late on Saturday.
The girl, who was earlier seen in the sex video along with Ummay, and her male friend were picked up by police while attempting to flee to Kolkata. Later, two others were detained in connection with the case.
The cops have started investigation on the basis of the allegation made by Padhi’s family that he was killed over the sex video that had gone viral last year. Unmay was arrested by Kharvel Nagar police over the obscene video clip.
A burnt laptop and other electronic gadgets that were recovered from the murder spot have been sent to forensic laboratory for examination and data retrieval, a police officer informed.
The half-charred body of Unmay, a resident of BJB Nagar area in Bhubaneswar, was recovered from Kuakhai riverbed on March 21.
