Hyderabad: Four migrant workers from Odisha, including two women, died and 17 others sustained serious injuries when a bus in which they were travelling hit a stationary lorry on Suryapet-Khammam highway in Telangana in the early hours of Friday.
The accident occurred near Ailapur village in the Chivvemla mandal of Suryapet district when around 32 passengers, onboard the bus, were travelling from Sinapali block of Odisha’s Nuapada district to Hyderabad The truck loaded with sand was parked on the roadside, the Telangana Today reported.
While the injured have been shifted to nearby hospital, the identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
The accident is believed to have occurred after a tyre burst.
