Malkangiri: Four persons, including three women and a minor, went missing after a boat carrying them capsized in Barlabandh canal at Chitrakonda area of Malkangiri district on Monday night.
The mishap took place when seven persons were returning to their village after finishing some agricultural work near Nakamamudi.
On being informed about the incident, fire personnel and ODRAF team swung into action and rescued three persons.
Search operation is underway to trace and rescue four others, who are still missing.
In a similar incident, six fishermen swam back safely to shore, while one was rescued in a critical condition after their boat capsized in sea near Gokharkuda in Ganjam district.
