Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 toll in Odisha touched 1,948 on Monday with four more patients succumbing to the virus in the last 24 hours.
According to the Health Department, two deaths were reported from Sundargarh and one each was reported from Jharsuguda and Keonjhar districts.
The deceased have been identified as:
1.A 53 years old male of Jharsuguda district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
2.A 40 years old male of Keonjhar district.
3.A 43 years old male of Sundargarh district.
4.A 50 years old female of Sundargarh district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus
The state also saw 4445 new infections with Sundargarh and Khurda leading the tally at 722 and 587, respectively.
Odisha now has 24,568 active cases.
