Four More Towns In Odisha Get Jio 5G Service; Total 17
Bhubaneswar: Reliance Jio on Wednesday announced the launch of its True 5G services in 34 additional cities in 10 States/Union Territories, including Sundargarh, Bhawanipatna, Janti and Khurda towns in Odisha.
The service is already available in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Rourkela, Berhampur, Sambalpur, Balasore, Baripada, Bhadrak, Jharsuguda, Puri, Balangir, Nalco-Angul and Talcher, in the state.
In an official release, the telecom operator claimed that Jio has been the first and the only operator to launch 5G services in most of these cities. By December 2023, Jio True 5G will reach every town in the country, it added.
On March 6, Bharti Airtel Limited (Airtel) had announced its largest-ever roll out of ultra-fast 5G services in 125 cities, including four places in Odisha – Kendrapada, Jajpur Road, Balangir and Talcher. The service was earlier rolled out in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Rourkela, Puri, Angul, Sambalpur, Berhampur, Balasore, Bhawanipatna, Dhenkanal, Jharsuguda, Paradip and Bargarh in the state.
