The new initiatives include ‘e-SWASTHYA’ to provide free health check-ups free to the people. The digital diagnostic units will be set up at 12 health centres across the district.
A scheme to set up modern physiotherapy and therapeutic units at all the blocks was also introduced. Besides, safety kits will be provided to workers for their wellbeing.
The Collector also lauded the completion of one year of a special nutrition programme fpr children. Under this scheme, Ragi Laddu mix and Spirulina-fortified Chiki and Sugar are distributed to children through Anganwadi centres.
The initiatives are supported by District Mineral Foundation (DMF).
“The Spirulina and Ragi Laddu mix distribution for the nutrition of children has been well received in the district. It has helped to prevent malnutrition among children and bring overall growth in them. e-SWASTHYA and physiotherapy services will now be immensely useful to the people of Sundargarh. We have started these new initiatives to provide various health facilities free of cost to the people at rural areas through the CHCs/PHCs,” the Collector said.
