New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi departed for France on Monday for a three-day official visit to co-chair the third edition of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Action Summit alongside French President Emmanuel Macron. From France, PM Modi will proceed on a two-day visit to the United States at the invitation of President Donald Trump on Feb 12. He will meet President Donald Trump for the first time during his second term in the White House.

Prime Minister Modi will reach Paris on February 10 (Monday), where he will attend a dinner hosted by President Macron to honour visiting heads of government and heads of state. The event is expected to see the participation of prominent leaders from various sectors, including top CEOs from the tech industry among other dignitaries.
2047 Horizon Roadmap, Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor project & more
“The bilateral segment of my visit will provide an opportunity to review the progress on 2047 Horizon Roadmap for India-France strategic partnership along with my friend President Macron. We will also travel to the historic French city of Marseille to inaugurate the first Indian Consulate in France and also visit the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor project, in which India is a member of the consortium of partner countries including France, to harness energy for the global good. I will also pay tribute to the Indian soldiers who laid down their lives during World Wars I and II at the Mazargues War Cemetery,” the PM said in a statement.
Objective for US trip
“This visit will be an opportunity to build upon the successes of our collaboration in his first term and develop an agenda to further elevate and deepen our partnership, including in the areas of technology, trade, defence, energy, and supply chain resilience. We will work together for the mutual benefit of the people of our two countries and shape a better future for the world,” the PM said about his visit to the US.
