Mumbai: Streaming giant Netflix has fuelled fresh speculation about the return of Samay Raina’s controversial show ‘India’s Got Latent’ with a cryptic post shared on social media on Wednesday.
While the teaser didn’t reveal the show’s title or release details, it featured Raina’s bodyguard and included a caption that quickly set social media abuzz.
Netflix posted, “Drop (lemon and spice emojis) in the comments p
ls, we’re gonna need it (sic).”
The post also tagged Raina as a collaborator, further fuelling speculation that a new project involving the comedian is in the works.
Adding to the buzz, a leaked image apparently from the sets of ‘India’s Got Latent Season 2’ had recently surfaced online, featuring Raina alongside Sharvari and Alia Bhatt. The photo quickly sparked discussions among fans, many of whom believe the two actors could be appearing as guests on the show to promote their upcoming Spy film, ‘Alpha’.
Raina had already confirmed that ‘India’s Got Latent’ would be returning for a second season.
He first made the announcement during Still Alive, where he hinted that he had no intention of ending the show while it was at the height of its popularity.
Since then, the comedian has repeatedly teased the show’s comeback.
In April, he took to Instagram Stories to reveal that ‘India’s Got Latent Season 2’ was officially in the works and even shared a registration link for fans interested in being part of the live audience.
