Berhampur: Amid COVID-19 resurgence fear, the Ganjam administration has capped the participation in Danda Nacha at 25.
While troupes participating in Danda Nacha will be allowed to conduct the rituals as per tradition, no musical and cultural programmes will be allowed as part of the festivities.
“Mundan (head-shaving) rituals will be not allowed at Maa Tara Tarini temple, or at downhill,” Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange tweeted on Saturday.
Shopkeepers have been asked to strictly follow the ‘Panchsutra’ guidelines for social distancing – barricades, board of ‘No Mask No Goods’, sanitisers, circle and contact book.
