Ganjam Bus Mishap: Police Nab Driver, Helper Absconding

Berhampur: Three days after the tragic bus mishap at Golanthara, on the outskirts of Berhampur, police on Wednesday arrested the driver of the ill-fated bus.

He was identified as Gagan Nayak.

Ten passengers were electrocuted to death after the private bus came in contact with an 11 KV live wire on Sunday (February 9).

According to police sources, Nayak is currently being interrogated at an undisclosed location.

Preliminary investigation revealed that he had fled after the bus came in contact with the high tension wire. Efforts are on to nab the helper of the bus, the sources added.
