Bhubaneswar: A COVID-19 patient of Ganjam passed away due to other health complications on Wednesday.
The Health Department sources attributed the death of the 52-year-old man to terminal cancer of the lungs with brain metastasis.
The state had earlier seen seven non-COVID deaths.
Ganjam has the highest COVID death toll of 14 in the state, while two patients in the district have died due to reasons other than the infection.
The virus has so far claimed 25 lives in Odisha. While 14 deaths are from Ganjam, 5 from Khurda, four from Cuttack and one each from Bargarh and Puri.
