Ahmedabad: Billionaire industrialist Gautam Adani’s younger son Jeet Adani got married to diamond merchant Jaimin Shah’s daughter Diva in a “small and extremely private function” in Ahmedabad on Friday.
As a generous wedding ‘gift’, the Adani Group chairperson donated Rs 10,000 crore to be channelled into various social causes.
A sizeable part of his donation will go into funding infrastructure initiatives in healthcare, education and skill development. The focus will be on giving all sections of society access to a network of affordable world-class hospitals and medical colleges, top-tier K-12 schools and advanced global skill academies with assured employability.
Gautam Adani shared a detailed post (in Hindi) along with pictures of the wedding on X. Seeking blessings for his “daughter Diva” and Jeet, Adani apologised for not inviting all well-wishers.
“With the blessings of Almighty God, Jeet and Diva tied the sacred knot of marriage today. The wedding took place today in Ahmedabad with traditional rituals and Shubh Mangal Bhaav among loved ones. It was a small and extremely private function, so we could not invite all the well-wishers even if we wanted to, for which I apologize. I sincerely seek blessings and love from all of you for my daughter Diva and Jeet 🙏,” Adani wrote.

The wedding, at the Belvedere Club in Ahmedabad’s Adani Shantigram township, was a simple affair with the usual religious rituals followed by a traditional Gujarati ceremony attended by close relatives and friends only.
Politicians, business leaders, diplomats, bureaucrats, film stars, entertainers and other celebrities were conspicuous by their absence.
Two days before the wedding, Adani announced ‘Mangal Seva’, a programme to support newly-married women with disabilities. Jeet met 21 newly-married divyang women and their husbands to launch the initiative, which will see 500 such women being provided financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh each every year.
