Girl Dies After Consuming Expired TB Medicines

Cuttack: A girl died after consuming expired medicines for tuberculosis (TB) in Cuttack district on Sunday.
The deceased identified as Guddi Nayak, a resident of Rajabagicha here, had been taking the expired medicines during her treatment at the district headquarters hospital for the last four months.
Gudi was later admitted to the TB ward of SCB Medical College and Hospital after the matter came to the fore.
However, she succumbed to her illness this morning following the deterioration of her health condition, reports said.
