The overall pass percentage is 83.01 while the top three regions are Trivandrum (97.32), Chennai (93.87) and Delhi (89).

This year, girls have outshone boys with an overall pass percentage of 88.31 compared to 78.09 of boys.

The results, which were announced at 12.19 pm, will be available on its official website www.cbse.nic.in, cbseresults.nic.in and results.nic.in .

Students can also check their results through the Mircosoft app SMS organizer even if they are offline. The candidates have to register their roll number, school code and the date of birth on the app to be able to access their scores.

Here are the steps to be followed to get results on SMS organizer:

Step 1: Download the SMS organizer app

Step 2: Check the notification from SMS Organizer to register CBSE results.

Step 3: Click on the notification and pre-register with your roll number, school code and date of birth.

Step 4: Click on the result notification when results are released.

You can then download the score card. Apart from Microsoft, Google will also host the CBSE results this year.

Besides, one can also get their results via SMS by sending a message to given numbers: 52001 (MTNL), 57766 (BSNL), 5800002 (Aircel), 55456068 (Idea), 54321, 51234 and 5333300 (Tata Teleservices), 54321202 (Airtel), and 9212357123 (National Informatics Centre).

Results will also be available on the CBSE app which can be downloaded from Google play store.

The Class XII examination which had begun on March 5 was scheduled to end on April 13 with the Physical Education examination. However, the dateline was extended up to April 27 because of Bharat Bandh and the decision of the Board to cancel the exam due to reports from some parts of the country about the leak of the CBSE Class XII Economics and Class X Mathematics paper. The Class XII Economics paper was re-scheduled to April 25 after the paper leak.

A total of 11,86,306 students had appeared for Class XII examination in 4138 centres in the country and 71 centres abroad.

In Bhubaneswar zone comprising Odisha, West Bengal and Chhattisgarh, 66,367 students including 14,000 from Odisha had appeared for the examination in 219 centres.

The Class X results is most likely to be announced on Monday, sources in the Regional Office of the Board in Bhubaneswar said.
