Mumbai: There’s good news for Indian households — Amul milk is set to cost less.
The company on Friday announced reduction in the price of 1-litre packs of Amul’s Gold, Taaza and Tea Special milk by Re 1 each.
The price reduction will be applicable only to 1-litre packs.
The price of a one-litre pouch of Amul Gold milk will now cost Rs 65, while one litre Amul Tea Special and Amul Taaza will be available for Rs 61 and Rs 53, respectively, announced Jayen Mehta, Managing Director of the Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF).
Last June, Amul had increased milk prices by Rs 2 per litre. Mother Dairy followed suit, hiking prices by Rs 2 per litre.
