Good News GST Taxpayers! Know New Relaxations In Compliance Burden

New Delhi: The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) on Sunday reduced compliance burden for GST taxpayers.

According to a CBIC tweet, taxpayers with Annual Aggregate Turnover (AATO) up to Rs 2 crore are not required to file Annual Return (Form GSTR-9/9A) for the 2020-21 fiscal year.

Similarly, taxpayers with AATO up to Rs 5 crore are not required to file the reconciliation statement in Form GSTR-9C for FY 20-21 onwards.

Also, the taxpayers with AATO above Rs 5 crore can now self-certify the reconciliation statement in Form GSTR-9C.
