Cuttack: There was great response on the first day of Odisha Cricket Association’s (OCA) Talent Hunt Camp for Pacers at Barabati Stadium here on Wednesday.
A total of 358 potential pace bowlers — from Angul, Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Ganjam, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Khurda, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Dhenkanal and Nayagarh districts — turned up for phase I of the camp.
Head coach of Odisha senior men’s team Dinesh Mongia was present at Barabati along with OCA’s senior and junior selection committee members Amiya Ray, Sourajit Mohapatra, Subit Biswal and Pravanjan Mullick to scout best possible talents.
Phase II and phase III of the camp will be conducted on July 6 and 7, when players from the other districts will be showcasing their skills.
