‘Google Hire’ Set To Shut Shop
Google will soon shut down its job application tracking system ‘Google Hire’. The service, which was launched 2 years ago, was to simplify the hiring process.
Google had started Hire after acquiring Bebop for $380 million in 2015. Hire integrated applicant searches to scheduling interviews with other Goolge apps such as Search, Gmail, Calendar, and Docs.
“While ‘Hire’ has been successful, we’re focusing our resources on other products in the Google Cloud portfolio. We are deeply grateful to our customers, as well as the champions and advocates who have joined and supported us along the way,” Google said in a statement.
The service will come to an end on September 1, 2020.
