Google has, over the last eight months, rolled out a number of features to combat spread of misinformation on COVID-19. Now, the company has introduced another feature that will help provide accurate information on vaccines.
The new feature on Search will show a list of authorized vaccines in the location and information panels about every vaccine when people look up for COVID-19 vaccines.
To begin with, Google has rolled out this useful feature in the UK, where the vaccination programme was launched earlier this week. As other countries authorise vaccines in the next few weeks, Google will gradually introduce this feature elsewhere.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Google has given $250 million by way of its special funding scheme for non-profit organizations dealing with campaigns to counter coronavirus.
