New Delhi: The Central government on Monday asked all states and Union Territories to allow smartphones and tablet devices for COVID-19 patients in hospitals so that they can interact with family and friends through video conferencing.
This would help calm down the patients and reinforce their psychological support, Dr Rajiv Garg, the Director General of Health Services said in a letter.
He also recommended proper disinfection protocols should be followed for the devices.
