Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government will present the state’s annual budget for 2019-20 fiscal in the State Assembly on June 28.
Finance minister Niranjan Pujari will present the budget, said a notification issued by the State Assembly Secretariat on Monday.
The budget session of the State Assembly which will begin on June 25 will have two phases. The first phase of the session will be held from June 25 to July 3 while the second phase will be held from July 12 to August 8.
Out of a total of 45 days, the State Assembly will have 31 workdays. The House will remain closed on June 30, July 13, 14, 21 and 28 and August 4. Besides, it will also remain closed from July 3 to 11 on account of the Rath Yatra festival.

June 25: Governor’s address; Motion of thanks on Governor’s address
June 26: Announcement of the election of the Deputy Speaker; Discussion on Motion of Thanks on Governor’s address
June 27: Election of the Deputy Speaker
June 28: Presentation of the annual budget for 2019-20 fiscal
June 29: Official business
July 1 and July 2: General discussion on the annual budget
July 12: Presentation of the reports of the departmentally related standing committees; Presentation of the special supplementary statement of expenditure for recoupment of the advance money from the Odisha Contingency Fund for the year 2019-20
July 15 to July 30: Demands for grants (budget allocation)
July 31: Appropriation Bill on the budget for 2019-20 fiscal
August 1: Special supplementary statement of expenditure for recoupment of the advance money from the Odisha Contingency Fund for the year 2019-20
August 2: Appropriation Bill on the special supplementary statement of expenditure for recoupment of the advance money from the Odisha Contingency Fund for the year 2019-20
