Bhubaneswar: Sai International Residential School on Friday observed ‘Utkarsh’, its second Founder’s Day. Speaking on the occasion, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Sudam Marndi motivated the students to have an open and curious mind to succeed in life.

“Children keep moving forward, opening up new horizons and doing new things because you are curious. Curiosity keeps leading us to newer paths. Keep your curiosity alive all through your life,” the minister said. Marndi said he was delighted at being in the midst of “future leaders” who are being groomed in “Odisha’s number one Co-ed Boarding School.”

Former Banki MLA, Pravat Tripathy congratulated the school for being adjudged number 1 school of Odisha and scaling new heights with each passing year.

Founder & Mentor SAI International Education Group Bijaya Kumar Sahoo underlined the value of guru-shishya parampara and how the school is living up to the teachings of the gurukul system. “With hard work, diligence, humility, empathy and joy one can reach the pinnacle of success,” he said.

The first day of the two-day Founder’s Day witnessed the annual Sports Meet 2019, with Chief Executive Officer of CESU Arun Bothra gracing the occasion as the chief guest.

A cultural programme was organised in the evening where children staged the play ‘Alice in Wonderland’. Higher Education Minister Arun Sahoo was the chief guest at the occasion. Talking about the event, the minister said that extra-curricular activities instil confidence, creativity, communication and collaboration skills among students essential for the 21st century.
